Attorney Tommy Hastings

Attorney Tommy HastingsTommy Hastings is the founder and principal of Hastings Law Firm P.C. He was born and raised in rural Missouri where he learned the values of honest, hard-working people. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri before coming to Texas. He attended the University of Houston Law center where he graduated with honors.

Upon graduation, Tommy immediately began to represent people who had been injured through the fault of others. He began his career at a long-established Plaintiff's firm in Houston where he took his first deposition only thirty minutes after being admitted to the bar. Tommy tried his first case four months later, receiving a multi-million dollar verdict for his client. He subsequently handled all types of cases involving personal injury, medical malpractice and products liability.

In 2002, Tommy joined another prominent firm where he developed a significant interest in medical malpractice cases. Over the next few years, he tried and appealed numerous wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases before juries, obtaining significant settlements for his clients.

In 2004, H Texas magazine named Tommy as one of the "lawyers on the fast track". In 2005, Texas Monthly Magazine selected Tommy as a "Rising Star", an honor he received again in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates, which are among the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements, and fewer than 1% of US lawyers are members.

Tommy founded Hastings Law Firm P.C. in 2005. He proudly represents injury victims against large corporations and insurance companies. He never has - and never will - reprinted the powerful against the powerless. Although he believes a lawyer should always use his head to practice law, he believes that cases are won by the lawyer using his heart, believing that a lawyer should feel his client's pain as if it were his own.

Tommy is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Bar Association, and other local and national legal organizations. He has also written and lectured on continuing legal education matters to other members of the Texas Bar.
